This report investigates the link between childhood experiences of domestic and family violence (DFV) and youth suicide in Queensland. It explores individual and family factors along with DFV related service system contacts of young people under the age of 18 years who died by suicide in Queensland between 2020-2021. It is intended to enhance understanding about the opportunities for trauma-informed, holistic cross-agency intervention and suicide prevention that recognises and addresses child-centred support and recovery needs when children are identified as residing in a household experiencing DFV.
