Anglicare Victoria has been embarking on an ambitious project to embed client voice and lived experience across all service delivery, leading to organisational change enabling us to better hear from children, YP and families and improve service outcomes. This presentation will detail Anglicare Victoria’s 3 year journey, including the development of an overriding strategy, leadership & cultural change plan, capacity building activities and implementation of various initiatives including client voice surveys, peer work pilots, lived experience workforce initiatives and building a pool of care leaver advocates. The feedback collated and analysed via these initiatives has led to changes in practice and enabled families to have a voice and is shaping our understanding of what effective services look like. The lessons speak to the importance of giving time and attention to prepare the organisation to hear from and act on what children, young people and families tell us.
