“It isn’t about co-design: Improving practice in youth participation”

Daniel and Lamisa will be will be speaking about youth participation practices, through the lens of PROJECT ROCKIT’s National Youth Collective, a group of 35+ young Australians who work alongside PROJECT ROCKIT in their mission to eliminate hate, prejudice and abuse. Daniel will bring to the discussion two decades of practice in creating space and collaborating with children and young people, from child care services to schools and across the community sector with organisations

Daniel has spent over two decades in the child and youth sector advocating in collaboration with children and young people to help them play a greater role in the systems that govern their lives.

Lamisa Shah

Member, PROJECT ROCKIT National Youth Collective

Student, Bachelor of International Studies.

Lamisa is a member of Project Rockit National Youth Collective. Her main goals are working on fostering collaboration, and empowering marginalised voices. They are passionate about social justice and community support.
