This forum hosted Professor Cathy Humphreys (University of Melbourne) who presented the findings of Invisible Practices: Intervention with fathers who use violence, an action research project that included training and supervision for Communities of Practice by the US Safe and Together Institute.

Professor Humphreys also facilitated a panel of child and family service practitioners from Victoria who shared their experience of participating in an action research project and applying new knowledge to practice.

Invisible Practices: Intervention with fathers who use violence was funded by ANROWS and partner organisations. The project was led by Professor Cathy Humphreys with a team of researchers and partner organisations in Victoria, NSW, Qld and WA. Invisible Practices explored the work of practitioners and their organisations that engage and investigate fathers who use violence. Child protection practitioners and family services workers provided input into the development of practice guidelines in this challenging area of work.
