AVITH Training

The Centre offers interactive workshops to support the development of foundation knowledge for professionals working with young person violence.

This training includes exploration of theoretical frameworks that underpin Young Person Violence in the Home (YPVITH), how to use a relational approach, assessment of risk, and practice examples.

AVITH Community of Practice

The AVITH Community of Practice is a closed group for specialist AVITH practitioners to meet bi-monthly to discuss implementation of dedicated AVITH programs.

Chair: Elena Campbell (CIJ)

The AVITH Collaborative Network is a space where multidisciplinary professionals from a diverse range of sectors whose practice, policy, or research focuses on supporting adolescents using violence in the home can meet to:

  • Contribute to improved understandings of AVITH across the service system.
  • Document how best to work with adolescents engaging with violence.
  • Align with MARAM and tailor MARAM tools to adolescents engaging with violence.
  • Advocate for a more coordinated AVITH service system response.
